Artist unveils latest military sculpture

Jensen Beach sculptor Eduardo Gomez Rojas unveiled his latest tribute to the military during Military Appreciation Day held in Memorial Park. Mr. Gomez-Rojas said he spent the last 10 months creating “Unconditional,” a bronze bas-relief depicting a female soldier and her young child after researching the topic of women in the U.S. Armed Services. Using his own daughter and granddaughter as models, he borrowed a uniform, boots and a backpack from a female army colonel who also helped serve as a consultant on the project. Continue Reading

‘Above and Beyond:’ Veterans’ sculpture unveiling is Memorial Day

The distinguished service of area veterans will be honored with a new sculpture that’s described by the few fortunate enough to see it as “poignant and powerful.” Until then, the artwork remains literally under wraps. On May 29, the Memorial Day ceremonies at Memorial Park in downtown Stuart will feature the unveiling of “Above and Beyond,” the sculpture by local artist Eduardo Gomez. Continue Reading

Four of Eduardo Gomez’s Sculptures in “Midtown Bash” Art Exhibit in Palm Beach Gardens

Eduardo is exhibiting four of his sculptures at the Midtown Bash Art Exhibit. The Exhibit which includes two and three D art was organized by the Lighthouse Art Center Artists’ Guild. The four sculptures are Reflection, Frankly Frank, Andromeda and Uno..Dos On display at the Lighthouse ArtCenter Midtown Gallery, 4877 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. The display will last from September 27, 2013 to January 8, 2014
